Bendigo Car Club was founded in late 1950 and in 1953 was accepted as a branch of the Light Car Club of Australia. BCC owns and operates the Bagshot Motorsport Complex, and offroad, autocross and motorkhana venue; and has club rooms based in Maiden Gully, Victoria.
In conjunction with the Vintage Sports Car Club of Victoria, BCC started the Mt Tarrengower Hillclimb in 1980 and the event is now the oldest and longest hillclimb in Australia. Also in conjunction with VSCCV, BCC runs the annual Eddington Sprints which has been running since 1985 on Playfair Street in Eddington, Victoria.
Bendigo Car Club is affiliated with Motorsport Australia and is part of the Club Permit Scheme run by VicRoads.
