Benalla Auto Club was established in 1957 and is the parent organisation for both Winton Motor Raceway and the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance sanctioning body.
Benalla Auto Club began constructing the 1.3km Winton circuit in 1960 which was extended in 1997 to its current layout.
In 2003, Benalla Auto Club founded AASA due to perceived issues with the Confederation of Australian Motorsport (now Motorsport Australia).
Although it is unclear, it appears BAC runs the Hi-Tec Oils Speed Series and is likely responsible for a number of other events run under the AASA banner.
