Originally expecting to be a flag marshal, Michael was approached to assist with Judicial duties, a role he was happy to accept.
Saturday was spent understanding the processes of receiving an incident report, undertaking an investigation and making a decision. On Sunday Michael got to process some reports through to completion, including the collection of in-car footage, reviewing broadcast footage and talking to drivers as part of the investigation.
Very few of the reports processed by Michael required any further action, but a couple resulted in drivers being coached; so understanding the application of penalties will come at a later date.
