The Victorian Fire & Rescue Squad provides fire and rescue services to motorsport in Victoria.
From club events to Supercars, the Formula 1 Grand Prix and even MotoGP, VFRS provides services to some of the most significant motorsport events in the country. VFRS was established in the 1970s by Women for Wheels and today runs 4 Ford Territory rapid response vehicles and a VW Transporter rescue vehicle.
VFRS trains their members in fire suppression and also rescue and extraction techniques. For members with significant crew leader experience and appropriate skills there is also the opportunity for training as a motorsport emergency vehicle driver.
