Michael’s first day as a motorsport offical apart from a brief experience in his early teens in the timing tower at Mallala.
Although the Victorian State Racing Series is made up of 3 day events, Michael decided to only volunteer for one day to see what he thought of the activity.
Michael’s first day trackside was spent at Flag Point 11 and within a few minutes of picking up a flag he was waving a yellow flag for a car that had spun in the centre of the track. Although the day was spent with Victorian Flagmarshalling Team members, Michael did not start his training at this event.
