Friday and Saturday at Sandown fore the GTs saw Michael in a fire vehicle at turn 1 and then stationed in pit lane.
One the Friday Michael encountered his first vehicle fire, with debris under a car having caught alight. Most of the fire was extinguished with the fire vehicle’s foam tank, but some water was also required around the gear lever.
Saturday was uneventful in pit lane and monitoring fuel decanting.
